What Is VOLUMA?

JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® is an FDA-approved dermal filler intended to be used for reducing volume loss and enhancing midface areas. This non-surgical, minimally invasive treatment is an injectable designed to lift and contour the cheeks by subtly increasing volume.

Hyaluronic acid, or HA, is a substance that naturally occurs in your body. HA ensures your skin is receiving the essential moisture and nutrients it needs, and it can help provide your body with structure. Although your body naturally produces HA, production naturally decreases over time. The gel used in VOLUMA injections includes an HA substance that mimics the HA that naturally occurs in your body.

What Could I Expect from a Procedure?

VOLUMA injections are administered in the comfort of our Arizona office. For your additional comfort, the injectable gel includes lidocaine. Lidocaine helps manage and reduce pain associated with injections. Treatment sessions are typically short and require less than an hour, and there is no set downtime associated with a session.

Most people are able to return to their normal activities following treatment. However, experiencing some mild swelling or bruising following treatment may occur, but often subsides shortly after treatment.

While results will vary for each person, most people enjoy the results of treatment immediately after a session. They may last for up to two years, and a regular series of treatments may help you achieve and maintain the best results.

Am I a Good Candidate?
